Valparaiso, a colorful, bohemian city on the Pacific Ocean described and painted by famous artists such as Pablo Neruda. It will be the start point of our tour. This tour can be arranged as a shore excursion since many cruises are stopping by in Valparaiso.
Note: This tour is slightly uprated ‘Valparaiso & Vina del Mar highlights’ tour; this tour includes a winery stop as well, with an overview tour of all major attractions from Valparaiso & Vina del Mar
On the route to Santiago, Casablanca Valley is stretching- the ocean climate influences well on the strains for producing white wine, such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewurztraminer and it is still possible to develop new options as Pinot Noir, the White Red Wine.
We will visit one vineyard
The tour takes us next to Viña del Mar, a sharp contrast to Valparaiso, with natural spots to relax such as beaches, parks and botanical gardens.
It holds the nickname The Garden City, because of the beautiful, expensive parks and boulevards with palm trees.
Architecture is very modern and luxurious on the coastline, with summer homes and condominiums dominating the landscape; with restaurants of all kinds of national and international cuisine, casino, municipal theater, 5 stars hotels, an outdoor amphitheater that each February celebrates the Popular International Festival of the Song, historical museums, fine Lapis Lazuli stores, pubs, discos, makes a modern and up-to-date beach resort.
A visit to Valparaiso is a constant surprise, for its port-city life, its unusual architecture and layout of its streets. It is one of the most picturesque port towns of the world that was declared “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO in July 2003 thanks to its charming and steep “ascensors” (funiculars, cable cars) with slopes of 30° to 50 °, cobbled streets, colorful houses, century age buildings, secret passages, endless stairs, museums with a singular character, promenades that overlook a beautiful sea-port scenic view, artistic murals, humble and friendly people, homes hanging on hills, restaurants “gourmet” and “picada” (traditional, Cheap & Good restaurant), fruits and vegetable street markets, Fish Markets, fleas markets, book markets, summer carnivals, etc. It is no wonder why many travelers decide to stay in Valparaiso instead of Santiago; a good travel option for young travelers and bohemians who enjoy every second of their lives.
