This tour includes the visit to the Casablanca Valley with a stop in one vineyard, a visit to Puro Caballo, traditional horse ranch combined with a horse show and a lunch at the classic countryside restaurant.
Casablanca Valley is situated on the coastal plain between Santiago and Valparaiso; relatively new wine region, but fast growing; vineyards here use the highest winemaking technology; the ocean climates affect well on the grapes and the region is well known for producing the premium white wine such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, but also some prestigious reds, such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Syrah.
Casablanca Valley is less than an hour drive from one of the most frequent ports in Chile, Valparaiso, therefore making a good option for shore excursion; suitable for every wine gourmet. We will visit 1 vineyard.
After the visit to the vineyard, we will go to Puro Caballo, traditional horse ranch. This is great opportunity to meet the traditional Chilean customs and feel like a local. We will be welcomed with appetizers and accompany horse show featuring Huaso– Chilean cowboy and Chinita- Chilean cowgirl dancing to Chilean famous traditional song Cueca. The tour guide will tell you more about the huasos and the Chilean folkloric culture. The difference between Gauchos and Huasos might be as well worth hearing.
You will also have the opportunity to try the pisco sour, national alcoholic drink.
In the Media Luna (rodeo ring) we will see a demo of the training done with a 100% Chilean Criollo Horse. Brought from Spain back in the 16th century, it has developed to the South America climate and evolved in one of the breeds with the best endurance along with the Arabian breed. It is the best long-distance breed with over a week stamina.
To conclude this journey, we will go to a classic countryside restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Chilean cuisine; you order to truly get to know a nation, it is a must to try its cuisine.
