South America Private Tours

Traveling in Chile and Buenos Aires Jaime helped us plan a Jewish History tour in Santiago, one excursion in Puerto Montt and three in Buenos Aires. While he was responsive and followed up after each outing, there were a few issues along the way. The original pricing he provided changed when he later told us he had made a mistake, and the final cost ended up being higher than the initial quote. In addition, he booked us for a full‑day excursion in Tigre even though the tour company he contracts with only offered a half‑day option on the date we went. We did receive a refund for the difference.

The excursions themselves were very enjoyable—particularly the ranch visit and the Puerto Montt tour, even though that tour was not led by Jaime as originally planned. The Jewish History tour was conducted by a young rabbinical student after the original guide was unexpectedly unable to attend due to a car accident the night before. Aaron, our tour guide took us to the places we requested including a Blue Stone outlet where I purchased a bracelet for myself and earrings for my daughter. Overall, we had pleasant experiences; however, I would recommend arranging your own hotel accommodations, as we found substantially better rates at the same properties than those offered through Jaime.

PatagoniaShores, an exceptional experience. PatagoniaShores provided us with four offshore tours during our trip around Cape Horn in South America. The coordination of scheduling each event was exceptional. I had specific ADA requirements, which were met in both vehicles and by the staff. The support staff, for example, who transferred from the wheelchair to the bus was always available and knowledgeable.
The tour staff was extremely knowledgeable regarding any areas we toured. Communication was specific and timely regarding any changes. Each tour guide was knowledgeable about the area visited and the culture.
Communication regarding the arrangements of the tips before arrival was clear, concise, and set an expectation on our part, which the tour company met.

Can't wait to go back to South America and will use Patagonia Shorex every time. Our visit could not have been more perfect. Over the course of almost a week, every single step in our visit could not have been better. Patricia, our leader, who was not only one of the nicest people we've met but could not have been more professional. Patagonia Shorex is the only company we'll use in our next visit. Very highly recommend.

Trip of a lifetime Jaime provided a private tour for our family in Patagonia. My husband is disabled and requires a wheelchair to walk more than short distances, and Jaime made sure everything on our trip through El Calafate, Torres del Paine, and Puerto Varas was accessible for him. He was always available by text when I had questions. He was our private guide on Chiloe Island and in Puerto Varas, and took us to exceptional restaurants only locals know about. Machupicchu This was one of best tours we have done. We did 6 days off cruise trip with other passwas well organised. Jamie did a wonderful job to make sure trip was unique and had wonderful lunch dinners. His knowledge and organisation was great. I would highly recommend his services.
